The Deckfather is Ben, I started my journey in experimental music. I, along with other inspiring and visionary creatives became involved in the collective and record label: Wrong Music in the mid-2000s. With my love of supporting the independent music scene I have used my knowledge and experience with aiding local promoters, hosting club nights and even hosted a series of shows on local Bristol radio station Ujima.
I have been lucky enough to tour and DJ around the UK and Europe, playing small intimate grass roots to major festivals like Glastonbury and my label even had a couple of Maida Vale sessions on Radio 1.
Most recently I have been involved in the legendary Bang Face Weekender DJing and organising part of it. Both share a common goal of supporting the independent music scene and creating a safe environment for people who enjoy the more extreme and ridiculous ends of music scene.
I kept this ethos when I set up The Deckfather, we understand this is not just a piece of equipment but an extension of yourself used to express yourself and your chosen way to communicate with your crowd. We treat every piece of equipment you entrust us with as though it were our own. Both you and your equipment are very much a part of our family, every service and repair come’s back with a report telling you what we have found, what we have fixed and is finished off with our signature polish.
We're conveniently located in Fishponds, Bristol at Filwood House, a large warehouse building shared with other local creatives. Our address is:
